in which the cloud did seem to settle thick in the depression, and the way

in which my head lamps couldn’t seem to penetrate, and the way

in which i was forced to slow with no reflectors on the road, and the way

in which the crossroads brought an unexpected clearing, and the way

in which my wind shield suddenly became foggy, and the way

in which the light of other vehicles both revealed and blinded me, and the way

in which i had to blow some warmth upon the surface, and the way

in which i almost missed the turn toward home, and the way

in which the geese were flying overhead in february
